KIT digital appoints Marcus Evans Chief Marketing Officer
Evans brings over 20 years of expertise in consumer engagement and high-level agency experience to KIT digital, underscoring the firm’s differentiation as a provider of enterprise-level, strategic counsel to help clients maximize the benefits of deploying IP-based video solutions.
Evans’ background includes senior leadership roles with Ogilvy, Bates Communications, Carlson Marketing Group and TBWA, in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. At Omnicom’s Proximity Canada, he led the team that won Marketing Magazine’s ‘Interactive Agency of The Year’.
As he guides global sales initiatives for KIT digital, Evans’ past experience in acquiring and developing Fortune 1000 clients will support the firm’s large enterprise-focused growth. Evans will also lead programs to assist KIT digital’s existing clients in the more effective use and monetization of the company’s IP video platform.
“We are confident that Marcus’ strengths as a creative thinker and driver of new business will help lead KIT digital client growth and evangelize our compelling business proposition to companies around the world,” said Gavin Campion, president, KIT digital. “As an expert in strategic solutions selling, Marcus will ensure that our global sales force is focused on the various business benefits that clients enjoy from deploying our digital asset management software suite–whether for external customers or internal constituents.”
“The key to successful software sales in today’s business environment is making sure clients know how to use the technology to drive concrete business results–from cost-savings to brand engagement and customer traffic,” said Evans. “Too many players in the IP video market become fascinated with ‘version 3.x’-type of product releases with little measurable utility to the end-client. KIT digital’s ongoing success lies in our ability to deploy practical enterprise IP video solutions that save money, improve business processes and drive real revenues for our clients.”
In his role of Chief Marketing Officer, Evans will also lead market research efforts at KIT digital and the development of a shared IP video dashboard metrics system to be used by clients and agencies alike. “This dashboard approach is in keeping with KIT digital’s commitment to make IP video use measurable and profitable,” explained Mr. Campion. “And Marcus is the perfect person to put together the consortium to make it work.”
Evans’ strategic and brand leadership expertise has generated invitations to chair numerous conferences and present keynote addresses throughout Europe, North America and Asia/Pacific. In addition to presenting CRM Master classes for the Institute of Direct Marketing, Evans has been a guest lecturer for the MBA programs at both London and Ashridge Business Schools.
