HCE sets to kick off iTECH Gulf 2014
The inaugural iTECH Gulf 2014, positioned to be the IT and ICT convention of choice for the Northern Gulf, will open its doors next month in Bahrain featuring debate and discussion on the latest regional trends, a line-up of prominent executive speakers, industry awards and a comprehensive exhibition.
To be staged at the Gulf Convention Centre in Manama on 9 and 10 April, under the patronage of Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, iTECH Gulf will have two main components.
The iTECH Forum, expected to attract 300 delegates, will be a unique knowledge exchange platform where plenary sessions and parallel workshops will seek to empower, innovate and educate participants on topics including Technomics, Wireless Everywhere, Security, Computer Graphics, i-Ntrepreneurs, Cloud Computing and Big Data, Software Engineering and App Building, and Networking. Discussions are expected to focus on smartphones, machine-to-machine communication, accessing information, data storage, transmission and analytics, broadband offerings, data application, security and business services.
Among the experts offering their unique perspectives and expertise will be Dr Jassim Haji, Director of Information and Technology at Gulf Air, Essam Hadi, CIO at Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and renowned international speaker Raffael Marty, Founder and CEO of Pixlcloud, and many more will be speaking at ITECH Gulf as leading thinkers and sharing their expertise in the IT sector.
An Exhibition will also be held alongside the Forum, showcasing hardware and software technologies for businesses and consumers.
Regional IT executives will, meanwhile, be honoured during iTECH Gulf 2014 in categories including i-Ntrepreneur of the Year, App Innovator, IT Educator, Software Solutions Implementer and ITC Achievers.
