DEWA wins four honours at Dubai Government Excellence Programme

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, after DEWA won awards for Distinguished Financial Government Department, Distinguished Government in Customer Satisfaction, the Joint Government project with Dubai Municipality for ‘Improvement of Building Licensing Procedures in the Emirate of Dubai,’ and the Unknown Soldier Award at the Dubai Government Excellence Program Awards (DGEP).

DGEP Awards include 21 categories. DGEP is mandatory for every government organisation in Dubai and includes categories such as Distinguished Financial Department, Distinguished e-Government, Best Customer Satisfaction, Best Human Resources Satisfaction Results and Distinguished Government Employee.

The awards were evaluated by the Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai.

“I express my gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for his vision and guidance in setting the roadmap and strategy for DEWA’s growth to achieve the Vision 2021 to establish the UAE as one of the best nations in the world,” said Al Tayer.

“The awards further highlight DEWA’s commitment to organisational excellence and all-round performance, and the standards we have set in delivering the highest quality of government services and bringing happiness to our customers,” added Al Tayer.

“The honours follow the considerable efforts made by DEWA to provide exceptional customer services in line with our focus to promote global best practices and as part of our vision to be a sustainable world-class utility,” concluded Al Tayer.
