KidZania, the award-winning children’s edutainment centre, managed by Emaar Retail LLC, demonstrated its commitment to promote primary education among children around the world by taking part in the ‘Walk for Education,’ organised for the fifth time by Dubai Cares.
Urbano and Chika, two of KidZania’s popular characters, and representatives of KidZania, took part in the initiative that aims to support millions of children around the world who face obstacles in their pursuit of primary education.
Since its opening, KidZania has hosted more than 200,000 students, underlining the educational value of the world-class asset.
Launched in September 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Cares is a philanthropic organisation aiming to improve children’s access to education in developing countries.
Located on level 2 of The Dubai Mall, KidZania provides an innovative platform for children, as they enact over 80 role-playing professions including that of pilots, doctors, healthcare professionals, civil defence personnel, police officers, reporters, photographers, engineers, fashion designers, and artists, among others. KidZania provides a safe, unique and very realistic educational environment that allows kids to do what comes naturally to them: role-playing by emulating professional activities undertaken by adults in real life.
