High-level delegations from Egypt & Algeria to attend 9th Conference for Arab Businessmen & Investor

Among the official delegations attending the major conference are those from Egypt and Algeria. The delegations include top officials as well as leading businessmen from various chambers of commerce and industry from the two countries.

Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee, Director-General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commented: “We are extremely pleased with the high-level participation from Arab countries, specially from Egypt and Algeria. The strong participation by officials as well as investors indicates the importance the participants attach to this conference that aims to provide an ideal forum for exchange of ideas between Arab businessmen and investors.”

The Egyptian delegation will be led by Mr. Khaled Abu Ismail, Head of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and President of the Council of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture for Arab Countries. Also attending will be the Mayor of Al Munieh, Mr. Hassan Mohammed Hamidah.

The Egyptian presence will be strengthened by the attendance of 30 businessmen, including representatives from the Chambers of Commerce from Cairo, Al Giza, Al Manufiah, Suhaj, Alexandria, Kafr el Sheikh, Al Munieh and Al Sharqiah.

The official three-member delegation from Algeria will be headed by Noureddine Bou Karrouh, Minister of Contribution and Reforms Coordination. In addition, a 16-member businessmen’s delegation will be led Mr. Lazahar Djerman, President of Aures Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“We are getting ready for a hectic round of sessions that will highlight the achievements of the region in the IT sector as well as focus on the shortcomings that affect the Arab countries as the world moves ahead with the IT revolution,” said Mr. Mutaiwee. “We are confident that the conference will bring immense benefits to all the participants.”

Mr. Al Mutaiwee said the important conference will be attended by around 700 delegates, including Ministers, senior officials and representatives of Government bodies in Arab countries and Chairmen and Managing Directors from private sector companies.
