Seeking to get more Emiratis onboard, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry called upon young jobseekers to join its different departments during its participation in the Careers UAE 2014, running at the Dubai World Trade Centre this week.

Dubai Chamber’s participation in Careers UAE 2014 comes under the recommendations of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for the resettlement, training and empowering of national human resources to contribute to the economic growth of the country.

Essa Ali Al Zaabi, Senior Vice-President, Institutional Support Sector, Dubai Chamber, informed that the Chamber’s participation in Careers exhibition is part of its efforts to employ qualified national cadres under its ambitious strategy of becoming one of the best chambers in the world, as the young Emiratis are capable of offering their expertise and services to the multinational business community efficiently, he said.

He added that Dubai Chamber’s target is to raise the ratio of Emiratis in the organisation from the current 52% to 70% by 2016 and to train and absorb them to work in the various departments alongside 30 different nationalities who serve over 153,000 members.
