The second Falcon Thursday event took place this past week at Dubai Creek Golf Academy. Falcon Golf Arabia and Dubai Creek have come together and launched Falcon Thursdays as a chance for everyone to enjoy a fun evening of golf, no matter their experience or level.
Competitors can chose to play one of three competitions held on the Palm Par 3 course, Pearl Putting course, and the Dubai Creek Academy Golf Simulator.
The inaugural event was greatly received and players looked eager to set out in the hope of victory in their respective divisions, Men’s, Ladies and Junior.
The Palm Par 3 course showcased some very close competition across all three categories. In the junior division, Nathan Coquelin & Rishi Nair both finished tied on 23.5. It was Nair who finished slightly the stronger and edged out Coquelin into 1st place on a count-back. In the ladies division it was Mini Philip who took top honours with a score of 29.5, narrowly beating her fellow lady member Glory Xavier who was runner up on 29.7. A solid score of 25.9 from Mr. Chandra K earned him to spot in the men’s division ahead of runner-up Mark McCarthy who finished 4 back on 29.9.
The Pearl Putting course also had a competition of its own and Dubai Creek Junior member, Abouthorab Arghandiwal was victorious there with a fantastic score of 38.
After the golf there was a nearest the pin competition running on the Academy Simulator. The Savage family of Kevin, Paula & Adam made a clean sweep of the prizes there finishing top in the Men’s, Ladies & Junior category.
After the prize giving, Dubai Creek’s Golf Academy Manager Rashid Hamood commented, “Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you here that participated in this evenings event. It’s great to see an increase in numbers and support from last month and I hope that this continues in the coming months.”
