The on-going Dubai Food Festival has created great excitement among food connoisseurs and families residing in and visiting Dubai, with a range of activities adding to the foodie fun that is being served across the city.
Families and children visiting the food court at Mall of the Emirates last weekend had a first-hand experience of the fun ambience that has been created during the food extravaganza when they were pleasantly surprised by a Flash Mob, who staged specially choreographed acts.
As visitors savoured a delicious treat at the mall’s food court, a group of people abruptly broke into song-and-dance sequences, drawing applause from guests and causing many to capture the bout of merrymaking on their camera phones.
Leading malls in Dubai are making it a memorable experience for visitors during Dubai Food Festival with a line-up of exciting food-themed entertainment, activities and in-mall competitions, as well as offering them the chance to win fabulous prizes. Among the participating malls are The Dubai Mall, Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre, Mall of the Emirates, Mercato, Town Centre, Jumeirah and Dubai Marina Mall.
The 23-day inaugural Dubai Food Festival, which runs until 15 March, is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and is aimed at positioning Dubai as the gastronomy capital of the region.
