The Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) – the educational arm of Dubai Land Department (DLD) – has added six new courses to its training programme that has been designed for people interested in improving their real estate knowledge and learning more about Dubai’s rapidly burgeoning property sector.
The six study programmes have been added to DREI’s existing curriculum that aims to create a cadre of suitably qualified property professionals who will be able to contribute to the growth of the real estate market in Dubai. The organisation aims to train professionals who can help facilitate the sector’s sustainable boom by providing high-end services to different categories of customers, including buyers, sellers, owners and tenants.
“Each batch of DREI courses is compatible with the requirements of the UAE property market. As expected due to the current property boom, the programme of courses, which start at different times throughout the year, is experiencing a very high demand. The six new additions have been formulated in response to this demand and have been tailored especially for the needs of the market as it stands,” said Mahmoud Al Burai, Director of DREI.
The first of the new DREI offerings is the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) organised in collaboration with the National Association Of Realtors®, which includes the top three per cent of brokers working in Dubai’s real estate market. The programme provides an opportunity for managers to develop skills to achieve the best results in the brokerage business through clear explanations of marketing strategies, planning and leadership in real estate brokerage.
The second new DREI course is the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). This allows interested parties the opportunity to develop their expertise by providing international knowledge through facilitating collaboration with developers from around the world. The sessions include detailed explanations of global real estate markets and the practices, opportunities and challenges found within them.
Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) is DREI’s third course new course, which has been designed to establish a foundation of training, skills and resources to help real estate professionals succeed as buyers’ agents. Applicants will embark on a programme that will help them elevate their professional standards and enhance their performance in dealing with real estate customers.
The Arbitration, Mediation and Dispute Resolution in Real Estate course is designed to provide the fundamentals of conflict resolution for real estate professionals with the objective of strengthening the relationship between the various parties, such as owners, developers, tenants, residents and staff. It does this by providing mechanisms for decision-making based on ensuring that all parties concerned are given correct and transparent information.
DREI also offers the Valuation and Real Estate Appraisal Course, which focuses on property value assessment principles. The programme covers mediation, real estate management, property development and the banking sector. For those interested in design and architecture, the Real Estate Products course covers the planning and development aspects of buildings and real estate projects.
