Hawa said that the DCL paced towards improving services provided for the industrial and trade sectors helping the civic body in its role in supporting the national economy in tune with the vision of Dubai government promoting the emirate as global hub for business.
A presentation on the journey of quality services and excellence shed light on the compliance of DCL with the basic principles of quality management according to the requirements of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and the prominent milestones achieved by the department in addition to the innovative steps taken towards achieving the excellence in ideas, planning, execution, measurement and constant improvement of tasks, operations and services.
Hawa escorted the visiting delegation to some of the specialized laboratories in DCL including laboratories of food, consumer goods, toys, cosmetics, personal care, textiles, electrical appliances, and calibration where the latest devices, technologies and metrological services displayed.
At the end of the visit, the members of the delegation expressed their appreciation and admiration for the high level quality reached by DCL in terms of the availability of technical personnel with expertise and specialties in addition to providing the latest technologies and equipment used in the testing and calibration, which helped the department earn the reputation in local and regional levels.
The delegation expressed their willingness to cooperate and exchange experience with DCL.
