DM warns bachelors to vacate form residential areas

Eng. Yusuf Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Acting Director of Buildings Department said that the civic body has cracked down many places after field visits in several residential areas in the emirate of Dubai as many bachelors found staying in residential areas designated for families.

The department has already notified the bachelors staying in residential areas allocated for families and given deadlines to tenants and owners to evacuate the places.

The municipality has disconnected electricity and water of violating buildings after the deadline.
Marzouqi urged the public to cooperate with the civic body and said that it has been noticed that some owners are still leasing rooms for bachelors in areas allocated for families.

The municipality will take necessary action in case of receiving any complaint from families regarding the presence of bachelors in these areas,’ he said.

He also warned the families who share their apartments violating the rules and regulations which will adversely affect the social safety and harmony of the country.

‘All violations will be handled based on the Local Order No. 3 of 1999 regarding the regulation of buildings in the emirate of Dubai,’ he added.
