Tasjeel, the UAE’s one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, has opened a new counter at the Dubai Customs building in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) to offer testing and temporary registration services for export vehicles.
The opening ceremony was attended by Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail; Husam Salem Al Shawi, General Manager of Tasjeel; Mohammed Abdulkarim, Director – Vehicle Licensing Department of Roads & Transport Authority; Naser Al Jumairy, Jebel Ali Customs Centre Manager of Dubai Customs; Tariq Bin Khalifa, Director General – Cargo of DP World; Abdulla Mohammed Abdulla Alrais, Team Leader of Jebel Ali Centres –Vehicle Inspection Division at Dubai Customs; and Muteb Mohammed Albannai, Jebel Ali & TECOM Inspection Manager – Cargo Division/Cargo Operation Sea & Jebel Ali Zone.
In addition to undertaking export testing as per the requirements, Tasjeel will also provide temporary plate numbers as part of its service offerings. This enables customers the convenience of completing all their export-related vehicle testing needs at one location.
Burhan Al Hashemi, said, “With Jebel Ali establishing its credentials as one of the largest and sought-after hubs for automotive exports, opening our centre will significantly benefit exporters by providing them a one-stop-shop experience. They can complete all other formalities within one building, thus speeding up the export process. This will further contribute to establishing Dubai’s status as an export hub for motor vehicles.”
A business unit of ENOC Retail, Tasjeel undertakes all mandatory tests that are required for vehicle registration. With nine branches in Dubai, Sharjah, Khorfakhan, and Hatta, all of Tasjeel’s sites are equipped with the latest testing and inspection machinery, and professionally qualified staff members.
