Sandvine’s newest customers, located in Qatar and Kuwait, represent over one million fixed subscribers and two million mobile subscribers in over 16 countries in the region.
The customers are deploying Sandvine’s Policy Traffic Switch (PTS) platform and various applications from Sandvine’s service creation, network integrity and traffic optimization suite of solutions.
Together, these solutions help service providers offer subscribers new value-added services, protect subscribers from malicious traffic and optimally share network resources.
Tom Donnelly, EVP Sales and Marketing, Sandvine said:
“Broadband networks are experiencing rapid growth as millions of new subscribers around the world connect to the Internet. Service providers are responding by evolving their networks from a best efforts model to a policy management model-and Sandvine is the lead vendor for this evolution. We offer the broadest set of solutions and the most proven, flexible and high-performance platform available today.”
To support their international growth, Sandvine has also opened a sales and support office in Dubai, marking their sixth international office location to date.
“We have thousands of PTS units deployed for more than 110 customers in over 40 countries. Together, these service providers represent over 60 million broadband subscribers,” said Dave Caputo, CEO, Sandvine. “Our global footprint is growing steadily and we are putting down roots to support these evolving markets.”
