This explosive growth in technology investment and business users has naturally resulted in increased instances of malware, viruses and security threats, thereby providing SonicWall Middle East and Africa (MEA) opportunities to strengthen its position across Saudi Arabia.
“Currently, our revenue in KSA makes 25% of the total Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) revenue. Given the growth in KSA, we are targeting revenue in the Kingdom to make up 45% of our total GCC revenue by 2011,”
said Shahnawaz Sheikh, Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa at SonicWall.
Through its 35 active partners there, SonicWall has already acquired hundreds of key customers in Saudi Arabia, one of which is HANCO (Al Tala’a International Transportation Co Limited), a leading car rental, leasing and fleet management company. HANCO successfully deployed several SonicWall Network Security Ap-pliances, Email Security and Secure Remote Access solutions to boost business performance and productivity.
Commenting on the initiative, Bharat Singh Senwal, Assistant General Manager-IT at HANCO said: “We used to face congested networks and low performance at every branch, which was a challenging issue for us. Post implementation of the SonicWall Next Generation Firewall Solutions, our bandwidth has increased by 80%, resulting in higher productivity.”
Apart from expanding and strengthening its presence in the Saudi Arabia region, SonicWall is looking forward to interacting with Saudi delegates participating at Gitex in Dubai, this year.
Concluding Sheikh said: “GITEX has been the most successful platform for branding and exhibiting new products and technologies. Over the years, we have witnessed a strong presence of Saudi delegates showing keen interest in our products.”
