This win coincides with the formal set-up of the Start Dubai office, which opened its doors in December 2008.
Work begins immediately and activity is expected to conclude early 2009. The full programme includes collateral materials, web site design, video and employee engagement material. The appointment makes use of all Start services across brand and digital and will also incorporate events and environments at a later date as Start help DWTC continue to grow into a hub of world trade.
Start’s Dubai office provides a permanent presence in the United Arab Emirates and from this base Start will work across the UAE and Middle East. Start Dubai strategic planning and account management teams are spending time in both the UK and Dubai.
Start Dubai also has an exclusive relationship with Siren Consulting, an established Dubai communications company, led by Dubai business experts Ranya Doleh and Claire Stapley, a British national based in Dubai, who help corporations understand the right marketing and PR approach for the region.
Start is already working with Dubai Airports, Nakheel and MBC the Middle Eastern broadcaster.
Mike Curtis, Managing Director of Start, said:
“We have been operating in Dubai for some time now, working with a number of leading companies. It’s a very exciting time in the region, not with standing the global downturn. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has a very clear vision for Dubai and DWTC have a clear role to develop the Emirate’s position as a global trade hub. We are therefore extremely proud and excited that the Dubai World Trade Centre team has chosen to work with us on developing and implementing their future brand strategy.”
