Boeing to celebrate Saudi Arabia Culture, Heritage at Janadriyah Festival

Boeing will showcase its broad lineup of defense and commercial products and services in a pavilion at the annual Janadriyah Festival, including some designed to meet the needs of customers in the Kingdom.

The festival, which is held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, is considered the most important event in the Saudi cultural calendar, and provides the local community with the chance to embrace and showcase their heritage.

The Janadriyah Festival, which draws more than seven million visitors every year, is taking place from February 12th to February 28th in Riyadh.

Boeing has been taking part in this cultural celebration for three consecutive years, and is a supportive partner for this 29th edition of the festival. Including The Boeing pavilion will feature a range of its most innovative products and services including the heavy lift helicopter Chinook CH-47, the tilt rotor aircraft MV-22, the C-17 Globemaster III airlifter, and F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter aircraft.

An F-15E Strike Eagle simulator will be available to allow visitors to experience the aircraft’s unparalleled range, speed and performance of what is considered to be the most capable multirole strike fighter available today. The Boeing pavilion will also showcase models of the 777X passenger airliner and the 787 Dreamliner, allowing visitors to get a firsthand look at the innovative new plane’s design and specifications. The Janadriyah Festival is organized by the Saudi’ Arabian National Guard, and was launched in 1985. Designed to be a celebration of Saudi Arabian culture and heritage, activities at the two-week festival include camel racing, local music, traditional dance performances and local food tastings.
