Dubai airport to relocate 25% of operations to Al Maktoum until runway repair completed

Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has announced that Dubai International airport must relocate 25% of its operations to Al Maktoum International airport during the runway repair work later this year, Gulf News has reported. Airlines had been told earlier that some services would not be available from Dubai International from May 1 to July 20 due to runway repair work. However, the aviation body said it would not force airlines to move, as such a decision is only taken in emergencies, said the DCAA.
