The Doha-based Qatar Exchange (QE) 20 Index surged 1.13 per cent to hit 13,596.66 points on Sunday, August 31.
Al Khaliji Commercial Bank advanced by 1.61 per cent to close at QAR22.05. Earlier in the day, Al Khaliji named Fahad Abdulla Al Khalifa as Group Chief Executive Officer. “Khalifa is a senior banker with over 20 years of experience, he has held prominent positions in Qatari banks, including Qatar Central Bank and Qatar National Bank (QNB), which translates into knowledge and perspective with regards to the local and regional markets. Al Khalifa is a graduate from the Seattle University in the United States with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance,” said the statement to the Qatar stock market.
