Bank Sohar reports 35.1% increase in H1 net income

Oman’s Bank Sohar has said its net profits for the ¬six-month period ended June 30, 2014 grew 35.1% to OR16.15m, compared with OR11.9m during the same period last year, Muscat Daily has reported. The bank’s loan book climbed 16.5%, with net loans and advances rising to OR1.37bn, compared with OR1.18bn a year ago. Operating income rose 26.9% to OR35.26m in the first half of this year, against OR27.8m in the same period of 2013.
