Egypt’s CIB posts 31% growth in net profits

Egypt’s biggest private lender, Commercial International Bank (CIB), has posted a 31% jump in net profits for the first half of 2014 to EGP1.74bn from EGP1.33bn in the same period a year earlier, Ahram has reported. Consolidated revenues for the first half of 2014 rose 17% to EGP3.79bn, compared with EGP3.24bn in the same period in 2013. Second-quarter revenues reached EGP2.04bn, while net profit reached EGP932m, CIB said.
