Madina governor launches NCB electronic donation service

H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of Madina and President of the Saudi Anti-Cancer Society inaugurated the National Commercial Bank (NCB) service for electronic donations, allowing bank customers to donate directly from their current accounts to more than 80 charities in the Kingdom through AlAhli Online and AlAhli Mobile channels. The program was launched to coincide with the month of Ramadan, the month of giving.

Yousef Al-Maimani, a member of the NCB Board of Directors, attended the inauguration ceremony at the office of Prince Faisal bin Salman in Medina, and valued the H.R.H sponsorship for this project, as one of the biggest supporters of charitable work in the Kingdom.

The launch of the electronic donation service reflects NCB efforts to explore new channels for charity work in the Kingdom by creating direct connections between the donor and the recipient. It also showcases the bank’s efforts to continuously evolve and develop its electronic services and banking solutions for customers.

The NCB’s support to charitable organizations originates from its deep belief in the importance of corporate responsibility leading role based on its strategy to assist charities to achieve their goals and deliver services to community members across the Kingdom through NCB programs for non-profit organization, which constitute integral part of its programs directed to the society.

The new service is available to all bank customers, allowing them to submit their donations via direct transfers from AlAhli Mobile and AlAhli Online channels in the first phase, where donations from AlAhli Phone Banking and ATMs are planned to be added in the future.

The main advantages offered by the service include the option of sending donations to multiple charities, as well as the possibility of transferring donations securely, conveniently, and confidentially. Customers can also set a daily limit that suits the customer’s segment and the channel being used.

Last year, the NCB served 326,037 beneficiaries through 466 charities throughout the Kingdom, which reflects the bank’s commitment to support charitable organizations in achieving their development goals and serve the community. NCB always seeks to address the direct and actual needs of the community and contribute in social initiatives through a specific strategy that aims to enable all members of the community.
