NCB’s Q2 earnings up 22%

Saudi Arabia’s biggest bank by assets, National Commercial Bank has reported a 22% jump in second-quarter net profit, Reuters has reported. NCB made SR2.425bn ($647m) in the three months to June 30, compared with SR1.99bn in the corresponding period of 2013. The growth was driven by an 8.3% year-on-year increase in net special commissions income, as well as gains of 3.9% and 11.2% in banking and foreign exchange income, respectively, it said.
