Construction on Saadiyat Beach Villas phase three is rapidly progressing for completion in June 2015

Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of major tourism destinations in Abu Dhabi, announced today that the construction of the third phase of the Saadiyat Beach Villas (SBV), which comprises 77 luxurious residences, is progressing with the villas slated for completion in June 2015. This new addition of villas will raise the total number of residences within Saadiyat’s villa-based community to 428 units. The third phase was fully sold off-plan following its launch in April 2013.

Since the start of construction, work has been progressing across various zones. As of early July 2014, a total of over 5,386 cubic metres of concrete have been poured on site forming the sub structure of the villas, and over 1,882 cubic metres of concrete for the super structure. Major substructure works have been delivered and it is expected to be fully completed by the fourth quarter of this year. The progress includes the construction of ground floor columns, first floor and roof work.

Ahmad Al Fahim, Executive Director of Marketing, Communications, Sales& Leasing at TDIC, said: “We are pleased to be developing this latest phase of the Saadiyat Beach Villas, which comes as a response to overwhelming market demand due to the villas’ high-quality finishes, its prime location close to Saadiyat Beach and its diverse offerings. This shows that Saadiyat is fast becoming a coveted residential address, which will be enhanced once the island’s other developments come online, especially the museums.”

The Saadiyat Beach Villas comes in four and five-bedroom villas available in Mediterranean Standard style, with a 449 square metre built-up area for a standard four-bedroom villa whereas a five-bedroom villa will be 542 square metres. Inspired by the desert and the Mediterranean, each home is characterised by outdoor terraces, stone veneers and detailed balcony railings while the interiors include spacious rooms, premium fittings and a vibrant colour scheme. Furthermore, residents can enjoy the community’s landscaped parks, play areas for children, swimming pools and terraces, state-of-the-art gyms, and basketball and squash courts.

In addition to enjoying the villas’ prime location in the island’s hospitality hotspot – Saadiyat Beach District, homeowners can also experience a wide range of privileges and benefits presented by Advantage, an exclusive loyalty programme for TDIC’s residential communities. The community is also in close proximity to Saadiyat Cultural District, which will feature three leading cultural institutions designed by five Pritzker Architecture Prize winners. These include Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, which are set to be completed in 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively.

“To accommodate the growing demand and interest for our developments on Saadiyat, we are planning to launch more residential offerings in the near future, including villas and apartment buildings,” added Al Fahim.

A number of important community services and developments are currently on schedule to open and serve Saadiyat residents in 2014. These include a purpose-built nursery, which will be operated by Kids First Group, an internationally-recognised academic operator, and which will accommodate up to 120 children as well as Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, an elite campus of Cranleigh School, a leading UK independent school founded in 1865. Moreover, New York University Abu Dhabi have opened their campus in the Saadiyat Marina District. A retail centre offering day-to-day conveniences is also set to be developed, which will feature a grocery store, a pharmacy, a hair & nail salon and a coffee shop.
