3W Networks was selected by an international oil and gas exploration and production company to upgrade the Communication Systems of its Production Platform (PS-1) complex comprising of Idd El Shargi North Dome (ISND) and Idd El Shargi South Dome (ISSD) fields in the territorial waters of Qatar.
The facilities located 80 kilometres north-east of Doha will have new wells in the ISSD field which will add new electrical and instrument systems installed in the Wellhead Platform (WHJ) and Minimum Facility Platform (MFP).
3W Networks will deliver Fibre Optic multiplexer communication systems from a leading manufacturer to provide a serial interface, Ethernet interface and transfer of discrete digital signals to and from each system across the WHJ’s and PS-1 platforms at the ISSD field.
The project scope of work includes the design, manufacture, testing, supply and installation of the Communication System.
