The inaugural ceremony was followed by traditional Khaleeji Dance performances.
“We are greatly indebted to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed bin Hasher Al Maktoum for consenting to grace us with his presence at such an important milestone in the Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group’s history,” said Hussein Adamali, the Group’s founder and Chairman, welcoming the dignitary. “His Highness is a great exponent of Arabic heritage and his example is a source of inspiration to us.”
Al Arabiya Al Swissriya, Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group’s innovative flagship retail Store is a radical departure from the traditional way Arabic perfumes are offered to the customer. This format was created to get closer and empathise with our target consumer, comprising of UAE and GCC nationals, who come to us to buy Ood, Dehn Al Ood (Oil of Ood) and premium Arabic fragrances ,” explained Hussein Adamali. “These customers are firmly rooted in Arabic tradition and identify strongly with their heritage. At the same time, they are very progressive in their outlook and in the technology they use and the amenities they consume. The new store reflects these attributes perfectly.”
The design of the new outlets is a blend of Arabic icons, and motifs and contemporary design. This retail format will set new trends in the Arabic perfume industry by offering consumers a unique experience in fragrance shopping by introducing a friendly, open and interactive format instead of the typical counters. To enhance the experience there will be an Ood enclave where customers can sample various Ood and Dehn Al Ood, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
“As a group, we have always been innovators in this industry,” said Nader Adamali, Director of Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group. “This new concept store is another first as it adopts an open, interactive and customer friendly design, encouraging walk-ins to touch, feel and buy. The stress is on experience and this will be the COMPELLING benefit that the stores offer. 3 of these stores are being opened simultaneously – at Reef Mall, Dubai; at Sahara Center, Sharjah; and in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi. Over a three-year window, we are looking at opening another 50 Al Arabiya Al Swissriya concept stores across the GCC.”
The new concept stores will offer a wide range of premium and authentic Ood, Dehn Al Ood and Ood Mukhalats. The group has entered into long-term arrangements with Ood plantations across South and South East Asia to source the raw materials, thus guaranteeing discerning Ood customers an assurance of quality and authenticity.
