The new alliance aims to synergise each other’s strengths to create a business entity that will play a lead role in the field of enterprise IT solutions in the UAE and even beyond.
Tekaniyat is a partnership between IGG and AE managed by a Board of Directors formed by representatives of the partners and specialised management from AE-IT resources. By virtue of its extensive resources pool and wide solutions portfolio, Tekaniyat will focus on major institutional clients requiring total solutions from basic infrastructure setup to highly specialized business applications.
Tekaniyat will be one of the biggest IT operating companies in the region with over 21 years of local experience and over a thousand ‘man-years’ of diversified and available experience. In terms of revenue, Tekaniyat is aiming a market share of 18-20% in the UAE IT sector over the next 2-3 years, and to have a stake of 15% in the GCC IT. For the short term, Tekaniyat will be focusing on the 1.4 billion dirhams UAE market capitalizing on its buoyant economic growth, while looking at specific GCC markets like Qatar, Oman and possibly other regions like Iraq, Libya and Sudan, and evaluating the best partnering model with key players in those markets.
Both the groups in the alliance have built their unique set of expertise and offered significant value-add to clients with their highly customized solutions and, now with the enriched pool of expertise in the technical and marketing sectors, Tekaniyat will have a definite edge over the competition. ‘Tekaniyat will be working in two directions to grow its revenue and business, by introducing the existing offerings portfolio to new clients/markets, as well as enriching current offering to existing clients’ as Fadel Seif Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman, IGG puts it.
The participating group’s present market standing is a positive indicator of the alliance’s future performance. International Golden Group (IGG) is a prominent group specialized in investments and also supplies state of the art equipment to various industry sectors and handles special industrial projects.
