For more practical purposes, customers interested in receiving a cost estimate for vehicle parts can click on the new ‘Parts Inquiry’ button and receive a relevant quote via the application. The ‘watch-list alert’ option is utilized for users who are awaiting a certain vehicle to come into stock. Once the vehicle the user is seeking is available in the showroom, an alert appears to notify him/her immediately.
By far, one of the most useful features of both the Android and iPhone/iPad applications, are the virtual tours of all EMC showrooms and the integration of GPS which allows users to walk through EMC’s showrooms, view cars and their specifications as if s/he was actually in the showroom. Every EMC outlet has its GPS coordinates stored in the application to provide precise locations, directions and facilitate road-side assistance with the click-of-a-button.
The built-in GPS option can also be utilized by EMC’s benefits program cardholders for the convenience of browsing the list of approximately thirty partners, accessing all the new promotions available, and simply detecting store locations via Google Maps.
