Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) Q.S.C., in its continued efforts to give back to the community, and for the second year in a row launched a charity donation campaign during the holy month of Ramadan.
The campaign will see al khaliji donate QAR 1 to charity every time a customer uses their al khaliji debit or credit cards to shop or conduct any banking transaction. That translates every swipe and transaction into instant cash to pursue charitable activities particularly during this month of giving.
al khaliji’s Group Chief Business Officer, Mohamed Abdelkhalek stated, “Ramadan is the holy month of giving, so our customers can be assured that the use of their al khaliji Debit or Credit cards for personal expenditures is an opportunity to give back and make a real difference in the lives of others”. He further added, “At al khaliji we are fully committed to humanitarian causes and to improving the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.”
This campaign comes as part of al khaliji’s corporate social responsibility strategy which focuses on conserving the environment, supporting educational and health-care initiatives and giving back to the community. The campaign aims to further foster the social ties between the bank, its valued customers and the community, and to ensure that al khaliji balances its commitment to achieving financial results with its commitment to society and humanitarian causes. Through this campaign, the bank and customers in tandem will fulfill their responsibility towards society.
