Al Khaliji Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji) Q.S.C., recently organized a successful blood donation campaign in association with Hamad Medical Corporation the ‘Blood Donor Center’, which took place at the bank’s West Bay headquarters.
The initiative came as part of Al Khalij’s commitment to support the ‘World Blood Donor Day’ launched this year by the World Health Organization (WHO) under the theme ‘Safe blood for saving mothers’.
The international campaign increases awareness about why timely access to safe blood and blood products is essential for all countries as part of a comprehensive approach to prevent maternal deaths.
The bank organized this campaign in alignment with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which is an intrinsic part of its business model, aimed at contributing to a healthy ecosystem. Al Khaliji’s approach, receiving a good response from its employees, is designed to multiply positive impact on people and the community in Qatar.
For Al Khaliji, CSR is designed to enhance communication and interaction with the community through sponsorship of community activities in all fields, especially those of health, education, the environment, sport, culture and other community activities.
