Located between intersections two and three on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, the new facility is scheduled for completion midyear 2014.
The start of construction follows a record finish to 2012 for the sole distributor of Porsche vehicles in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
In total, the company delivered 1,656 vehicles (compared to 1,503 in 2011) representing a growth of more than 10% for the year.
The company has commenced work on the new state-of-the art showroom which will offer space to display up to 50 new vehicles on three floors at the prime Sheikh Zayed Road location.
The new Porsche premises, one of the most impressive showroom projects in the world, will feature 15 work bays, as well as tyre service and wheel alignment facilities, and will offer parking for 205 vehicles on two basement floors.
“In every sense, our new showroom highlights the commitment by Porsche Centre Dubai to build on its success as one of the leading Porsche dealerships in the world,” said K. Rajaram, Chief Executive Officer of Al Nabooda Automobiles.
“We are once again underlining our status by announcing a strong business performance in 2012, the latest in a long line of achievements of which we are extremely proud.
“The new facility we are creating on Sheikh Zayed Road to showcase the Porsche brand provides the most powerful evidence of our commitment to our customers, business partners and to the local communities where we operate.”
The total showroom space of the new Porsche Centre Dubai, consisting of ground, mezzanine and first floors, is 4,800 square metres.
