Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles, has added another dimension to its sporting involvement, by entering into a strategic partnership with the Emirates Golf Club. The new agreement with Dubai’s world-famous golf destination and tournament venue underlines the company’s commitment to continuously support the local sporting culture and develop strong links with a game highly popular among its Porsche customers.

“The agreement brings together two leading brands, and we trust this will be the start of a strong relationship with the Emirates Golf Club,” said Vijay Rao, General Manager of Porsche Centre Dubai.

“Both Al Nabooda Automobiles and Porsche have well established sporting connections and a growing number of our customers are enthusiastic golfers. Apart from benefiting from a strong brand association with such a prestigious world-class golf venue, Porsche Centre Dubai will work out special offers for its customers, in addition to supporting a Par 3 Challenge tournament.”

The brand’s representative in Dubai and the Northern Emirates has been actively involved in the sporting arena in recent years, and has enjoyed great success as a major player in regional motorsport. Formed eight years ago, Al Nabooda Racing is currently defending both the team and drivers’ titles in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, the region’s most exciting and professional one-make race series.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Emirates Golf Club is home to the annual European Tour sanctioned Omega Dubai Desert Classic, whose previous winners include Seve Ballesteros, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods. The club was made famous by the iconic Majlis course, which became the region‘s first all grass championship venue when it opened in 1988 and stages the Desert Classic, as well as the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. Adding to the club’s status as a world-class venue is the 18-hole Faldo course, where state-of-the-art floodlights make night golf a major attraction, as well as nine-hole par three layout.
