Al Salam Bank-Bahrain, a leading Islamic bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has successfully concluded its 2014 Summer Internship Program held during July and August. The program is a part of its corporate responsibility endeavor towards developing future leaders in the industry.
Trainee students of various local and international universities had the opportunity to learn various banking skills in different departments of the Bank in order to gain practical experience. As part of the training course, the students were given the task to develop a product that could be added to the Bank’s retail banking portfolio. A presentation and a discussion were held to provide feedback to the students.
Mr. Anwar Murad, Head of Private Banking, affirmed the Bank’s keenness to contribute in training a generation of competent bankers in the Kingdom.
Mrs. Muna Al Balooshi, Head of Human Resources and Administration affairs, pointed out that the Summer Internship Program gives the opportunity for these students to gain diversified experience and important skills for their future professional lives. The Bank has been involved in training of 204 senior university students since the incorporation of the Bank in 2006.
