Video conference in Abu Dhabi University classes

Projectors, sound systems and video conferencing solutions, as well as TV Signage, are expected to be fully operational by October 2006.

Once the video conferencing is introduced in the University, students will be able to watch and ‘sit for lectures’ in various corners of the world, in real time.

When speaking about the University’s mission and how technology advancement meets with the standards of the University, H.E. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Executive Board of Governors at ADU, stated that the University’s vision and mission is “committed to developing and offering an advanced academic environment to all admitted students and staff.” He also added that the project Alpha Data is completing for the University “is working in concert with the University’s goals”.

Mr. Fayez Ibbini, Managing Director of Alpha Data has commented on the project saying that Alpha Data was chosen to complete it due to its “strong reputation built on a 25-years history of skills, leadership and proven technologies.” Mr. Ibbini also noted that Alpha Data’s technology will assist the University in establishing a “new academic concept”.
