AmCham Qatar, the first foreign Chamber of Commerce established in Qatar, and Grayling, a global public relationships consultancy with nearly three decades of experience in the Middle East, have partnered to power a vibrant year of engagement between the American and Qatari business communities with strategic communications services.
Grayling will look to grow awareness of AmCham Qatar as a key facilitator of long term commercial partnerships between the United States and Qatar.
According to the U.S. Commercial Service, trade volumes between the United States and Qatar have grown by more than 446%, from $738m in 2003 to $4.03bn in 2011, with 11% of total Qatari imports coming from the United States.
“As a key access point and advocate for American business leaders in Qatar and with a membership spanning the energy, technology, health and education sectors, AmCham Qatar has found a strong partner in Grayling,” said AmCham Qatar Chairman Robert A. Hager.
“While we will stick with our popular Distinguished Speaker Series programme, Annual Golf Tournament and Back-to-Business Networking events, we look forward to engaging our 122 members and Qatar’s wider business community in new ways,” he added.
“A member of AmCham Qatar and founding member of the Middle East Public Relations Association in Qatar, Grayling is proud to power AmCham’s advocacy and expansion with strategic communications,” said Tamara Bullock, Grayling’s Regional Director for the Northern Gulf, based in Qatar.
“With core government and business communications experience in Qatar, deep roots in the region and an extensive global network – including eleven offices in the United States – our team is eager to support the promotion of synergies between Qatari and American businesses,” she added.
