Organized by Aspire Logistics’ Government Relations Department, the event enabled the boys at Dhreima to participate in a morning of stimulating physical activity including gymnastics, hockey, skate boarding and football. At the end of the action-packed session, the children departed with a variety of gifts, including healthy snacks.
“The concept of giving is integral to Ramadan, and as the Holy month approaches we hope to be one of the first in Qatar to revive this spirit and set an example to other organizations across the country,” said Mr. Hamad Khalid Al-Kubaisi, Government Relations Officer at Aspire Logistics. “We believe others can contribute in their area of expertise, and it gave us an immense amount of pleasure to be able to share our facilities with the children of Dhreima. We hope that we have made a difference today.”
Aspire Logistics is a member-organization of Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF), which regularly backs a variety of social development initiatives as part of its ongoing CSR strategy to encourage healthy and active lifestyles. Year-round programs include UN-backed youth leadership camps, the installation of free gym equipment for public use, and diabetes camps.
Dhreima was established in 2003 to care for orphans in Qatar by providing them with medical attention and accommodation. Furthermore, the foundation has taken steps to ensure the successful integration of orphans into Qatari society, and provide them with the necessary support they need to become successful members of society.
