Hamad Saif Buhindi, Executive Director of ASPIRE4SPORT said: “ASPIRE4SPORT has proven to be the gateway to the sports industry of the region, and we would like to retain our vanguard position during the 2013 round. Our aim is to demonstrate to the whole world, and specifically to Qatari companies, how business and sports contribute to the growth of each other.”
Already, a diverse set of companies and organizations spanning geographies and sectors have set their sights on ASPIRE4SPORT to tap into expanding sports business sectors including construction, sports medicine and sports technology. Among those companies committed, Grimshaw Architects plan to exhibit in the Exhibition’s construction segment, Aspire BUILD, while others such as Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) plan to take part in Aspire MED, its sports medicine segment.
To facilitate tailored B2B exchanges and ensure exhibitors engage with the right business leads, this year’s ASPIRE4SPORT Exhibition will be broken down into five key sports industry areas: Aspire TECH, Aspire BUILD, Aspire LOGISTICS, Aspire ORG and Aspire MED.
Also exhibiting in Aspire BUILD is the renowned electrical and contracting company – Neptune Qatar – which brings a rich and diversified portfolio of projects. Neptune is celebrated for its exceptional work on major projects in Qatar including Sidra Medical and Research Centre, AL Farjan Stadium, Sumaisma and Barzan Youth Centre the new Qatar Petroleum building, Qatar Academy, BMW showroom at the Industrial area, among many others.
Commenting on Neptune’s exhibiting in the Aspire BUILD area, during the ASPIRE4SPORT 2013 Congress and Expo, Neptune Qatar’s Chairman Eng. Ali Al Zamat said: “Our presence at Aspire BUILD represents a very important opportunity to expand our portfolio and showcase our capabilities. We realize the importance of ASPIRE4SPORT 2013 Congress and Exhibition as a regional hub to the sports business, and are glad to be a partner in the anticipated success of this world-class event.”

Additionally, Spanish architecture firm Fenwick Iribarren Architects, which recently opened an office in Doha, is one of several companies returning to ASPIRE4SPORT for the fourth consecutive year.
According to the International Monetary Fund, Qatar’s diversified investments are expected to bring its GDP to $219bn by the end of 2013 – the highest per capita GDP in the world.
With the country investing in every sector of the economy – from education to sports, and from infrastructure and construction to cultural initiatives – Qatar is seen as an investment hub that is pushing the boundaries to ensure its growth is diverse, sustainable and has a positive societal impact.
“Qatari businesses have a chance to benefit from a world-class initiative that will take their interests to another level. As the sports industry in the Middle East grows, it is essential for local companies to participate in another episode of success, and to contribute to the diversification of our economy. With state-of-the-art solutions on display, and international sports decision-makers attending the event, we look forward to an admirable Qatari representation at ASPIRE4SPORT 2013,” added Buhindi.
As the leading regional platform for businesses, sports entities, athletes and decision makers, ASPIRE4SPORT 2013 will feature the latest sports products, services, and technologies while discussing hot-button industry trends and topics.
In 2012 over 170 companies from 20 countries participated in the exhibition. Through the use of purpose built business to business meeting rooms, those companies held over 250 scheduled intimate discussions with key stakeholders from the region’s sports industries including the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, Qatar Olympic Committee, UAE Olympic Committee and Aspire Zone Foundation. In addition, the B2B online matchmaking platform witnessed great success that contributed to the overall growth of the sports industry in the region.
