WTCR has partnered with industry leader Opus Technologies to install integrated audio-visual systems in 377 apartments. The fully serviced apartments aim to provide a luxurious yet convenient environment through a blend of modern-day technology and functionality.
The Opus 500 Series multi-room entertainment system will channel all sources (including radio, CD, MP3, video, DVD and satellite) through a single hub unit. Wall-mounted keypads in each room will provide convenient control while discreet ceiling speakers with hi-fi quality components will provide excellent stereo reproduction.
“Our aim is to enhance the lifestyle of each of our residents by providing practical solutions that make living easier and more enjoyable,” said Thomas Wiegand, Head of Project, Asteco Property Management (real estate consultants responsible for the sale of apartments).
“WTCR is not meant to fit a certain style or imitate other traditions. It is a contemporary development for discerning clients and will feature the latest advances in design and technology to ensure a perfect living environment,” he added.
Mark Coombes, Regional Manager, Opus Technologies, said: “Dubai is the Middle East’s pioneer of home technology integration. Such technologies are now becoming standard for luxury developments with the additional cost to the developer being offset by quicker sales at a higher margin.”
In addition to being technologically advanced, Opus provides an aesthetic solution to traditional systems, Coombes added. “The Opus entertainment system will provide WTCR residents with control over an essential component in their home, their audio and video requirements. Black boxes and tangles of cables are a thing of the past – the pre-wired Opus system eradicates clutter, providing superior control and sound.”
Due for completion in December 2007, the 40-storey WTCR will house 377 apartments. Most of the apartments have a duplex configuration with a gallery and have between one to four bedrooms. Apartments are available on 99-year renewable lease contracts.
Wiegand added: “We have gone to great lengths to make the show apartment as representative of the real thing as possible, from the floor tiles and fittings to the furnishings. The Opus system has also been installed and demonstrations are available.”
The rooftop of the World Trade Centre Residence will be home to the Club, an informal retreat and meeting place strictly for residents and guests. It includes a fully equipped gym and health club, temperature-controlled pool, as well as a poolside bar and cafe.
