Working closely with Austrade and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade the Minister meet with world leading investment entities and promoted South Australia as a productive investment destination.
“South Australia has world class companies. We are here discussing economic development opportunities with leading companies and encouraging them to learn more about South Australia and to work closely with South Australian companies for mutually beneficial outcomes.”
“We have a particular expertise in water conservation and management, sustainable living and oil and gas services such as high pressure gas pipelines.”
“In addition, Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, is Australia’s university city. There are three state universities including G8 member Adelaide University as well as campuses of University College London and Carnegie Mellon University. Next year the American university group Laureate, chaired by former US President Bill Clinton, will also open a new campus in Adelaide.”
The Minister invited and is joined on the mission with Shadow Minister, Martin Hamilton-Smith to provide these world leading companies with bipartisan support for productive investment into South Australia and to discuss economic development opportunities.
“South Australia is a safe and stable place to invest and a reliable and high quality trading partner,” said Mr Hamilton-Smith.
Gerard Seeber the Australian Consul General and Senior Trade Commissioner in Dubai stated “It’s great to see bipartisan support for attracting productive investment from the region. It reinforces the message in the market and also ensure continuity back in Australia when comes to committing to trade and investment with the UAE”.
