AwalNet signs new agreement to protect its customers from disconnections

Saudi Arabia: Wednesday, March 01 - 2006 @ 16:57

Bayanat and ITC have recently become the main data providers instead of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology right after they got the required licenses, and AwalNet signed an agreement with one of these companies to link its services to them. As a result, the internet bandwidth that AwalNet provides to its customers reaches about 300 MB enabling the leading ISP to offer the best stable and continuous internet connections to its customers.

Mr. Fahad Al Hussain, general manager of AwalNet comments:

“The new initiative enhances our position as the leading ISP in KSA that does care about its customers and adds an additional value to our unique services. Providing continuous internet connections to our customers makes us very proud of the quality services we offer for them”.

Benefits resulting from the new initiative are represented in ensuring the flexibility of increasing internet bandwidth when needed, because if one of the main internet providers in KSA fails to meet this demand, the other will surely succeed. Moreover, AwalNet ensures the continuity of internet connections that provides to its customers and becomes more able to provide some of the high quality and advanced applications such as video calls.

Websites monitoring and blocking mechanism of STC will remain as it is with the new data providers. This means that the blocked sites will remain blocked and nothing will be changed in this regard.
