His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology will inaugurate this morning (21st April) the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2014 in its seventh edition; at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa where he will also honor the eGovernment Excellence Award 2014 winners.
The first day of the forum will witness the inception of workshops presented by 10 international speakers who will discuss various topics of Smart Government, Gamification, Mobile Trends, Power of Social Media, Big Data, Internet of Things, IT Digital Trends, Entrepreneurship, Smart Cities, and Industrial Internet.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa will also inaugurate the Bahrain IT Expo 2014 held at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) on 22nd & 23rd April, 2014. The Expo will run in parallel with eight workshops that are organized by NGOs and international organizations which will focus on several topics such as eGovernment Success Stories and Global Trends, eContent Management, Social Media Toolkit, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in ICT Environment, Enterprise IT Governance for Control and Value Creation, Mobile Apps, Agile Business Analysis & Improvements, along with Leadership in Information Technology.
The anticipated Expo opens its doors for the public in BIC (Paddock Hall) from 9am-5pm. The eight parallel workshops will also be running on these two mentioned days in BIC (Oasis Building) from 8:30am-4:30pm.
The highly-awaited forum is organized by the eGovernment Authority in collaboration with Bahrain Internet Society, Bahrain Society of Engineers and Project Management Institute – Arabian Gulf Chapter. It is expected that the multiple events will attract over 700 local, regional and international visitors this year.
