BFC completes review of its branch operations processes

Bahrain Financing Company (BFC), the Kingdoms oldest and most reputed foreign exchange and remittance group recently completed an assignment with SysProve Technologies, a business process and strategic IT consultancy company based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to assess and identify opportunities for service improvements within its branch network.

As part of its ongoing commitment to provide the highest standard of customer service, BFC, felt it was paramount to examine any potential areas for service improvements of business processes associated with its branches. By utilizing the expertise and experience of SysProve Technologies, BFC has been able to identify many opportunities to improve its processes and build an analytical model to determine the optimum staff requirements per branch to efficiently serve its customers and improve service standards.

The model, enables BFC’s Retail Operations department to proactively plan required resources to provide efficient customer services at each branch. Commenting on the assignment BFC’s Head of Retail Sales, Mr. Deepak Nair said: ‘BFC is continually seeking ways to improve and maintain our customer service offering to ensure that we serve our customers in an efficient and timely manner. The detailed model created in partnership with SysProve Technologies has enabled us to further enhance our existing processes and attain a higher level of customer service.’

In addition, Mr. Ravi Jayasundera, Chief Executive Officer, SysProve Technologies commented: ‘With the rapid expansion of BFC’s branch network, it was essential to determine the optimum number of staff per branch to provide an efficient service to customers. SysProve’s experience in business process improvements and analytics was instrumental in identifying the improvements and defining a comprehensive model.”

BFC currently has over 35 branches across the Kingdom of Bahrain and specializes in sending money around the globe safely and quickly to over 44,000 locations in 30 countries through its own money transfer product – EzRemit. Its global reach is extended to over 200 countries through its partnership with MoneyGram an international remittance company. BFC is also one of the main providers of foreign currency exchange in Bahrain and customers can buy or sell foreign currency at the most competitive rates in the market from any of the BFC branches.
