The paper will be published four times, from Thursday 31st March to race day, Sunday 3rd April.
Bahrain Speed News will be bi-lingual, in Arabic and English. It will be a vital link between the events at the Bahrain International Circuit and activities in the rest of the Kingdom.
“The Bahrain Speed News is the only official newspaper of its kind for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. It will invaluable for bringing the excitement and drama of what is happening at BIC to the people of Bahrain, and also give visitors an up to date guide to events in Bahrain – Formula One’s only stop in the Middle East,” says BIC General Manager, Martin Whitaker.
The 8 page, full colour paper will be distributed each morning throughout the Kingdom. It will be delivered to hotels and be available at the airport, in shopping malls and at restaurants. Gulf Air flights departing Bahrain during the race weekend will carry copies of Bahrain’s Speed News as far afield as Europe and Australia.
Features will include columns by F1 drivers, background on the staging of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and information on events being held in and around Bahrain during race week.
A team of ten Arab and English editors, reporters, photographers, designers and translators has been formed by revolutionary London writing agency In© to produce this ground-breaking paper for Bahrain International Circuit. It will be created each night at one of Bahrain’s leading printers.
