An unusual participative exhibition at the Bahrain Science Centre, a part of the Ministry of Social Development, is introduced as part of the new theme on ‘Great Inventions’. The exhibition is called ‘What is it used for?’.
Twenty-nine unusual inventions have been selected and visitors are invited to guess what the invention is used for. To make the task easier, three alternative answers are suggested for each invention.
The unusual inventions range from the sublime, such as an avocado pear slicer, head massager, rocket-shaped food whisk and boiled egg slicer, to the ridiculous, such as a sausage maker, noodle measurer, tongue cleaner and olive pip remover.
This is an interactive exhibition for the whole family. Interested visitors can download the weekly programme online at www.bahrainsciencecentre.com for more information.
