In its fourth year of partnership, there are several students who are almost in the final year of their education and are prepared to join the job market as empowered professionals.
The Najah Education programme, which is being conducted with the cooperation of OCCI together with a group of volunteers, extends assistance and support to the General Diploma holders from the families with limited incomes, providing them with an appropriate higher education opportunity and training for employment in both the private and public sector.

However there are a good number of students, who are unable to avail the same due to financial constraints and this initiative addresses them. The Najah Education programme has helped scores of students in the Sultanate, and it is very encouraging to see corporates from the private sector such as Bank Sohar returning year after year to reaffirm their promise towards supporting Omani students. We would like to thank Bank Sohar for their continuous support to the initiative where students will be able to achieve their goal of a higher education & benefit the country with skilled workforce.”

“Since our inception, we have supported a number of initiatives as part of our corporate social responsibility programme. This is testament to our commitment to education, as well as the community as a whole.” Ms. Munira added.
The Najah Education programme was launched in the year 2012 and the first batch of students supported by the programme began their education in January 2011. The progamme’s overall aim is to achieve an educated society by providing higher education/training for employment opportunities to the youth.
