In celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Sohar Islamic, Bank Sohar’s Islamic Banking Window, has announced the launch of its Ramadan Facebook competition.
The competition, which will run from June 29 till end of Ramadan, is simple where participants are invited to answer questions posted on Bank Sohar’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/excel.banksohar and wait to get lucky.
Those with the right answers will enter into a computerized draw and have the opportunity to win a cash prize of RO 100 on every working day in the holy month for which the draws will be conducted after Eid Al Fitr.
Commenting on the launch of the Ramadan Facebook Competition, Mr. Mohammad Harith, AGM, Sohar Islamic said, “We are always looking for new and innovative ways to make the banking experience more valuable and rewarding for our customers. This promotion is the perfect opportunity to do just that whilst celebrating this joyous month of giving together with valued fans and customers on our Facebook page.”
For the duration of the holy month of Ramadan, a question will be posted on Bank Sohar’s Facebook page every day from Sunday to Thursday. The questions will be in a multiple choice format based on subjects related to Islamic Banking principles and Sohar Islamic. The answers to all questions can easily be found on Sohar Islamic website on www.soharislamic.net. All correct entries will enter a computerized draw to be conducted shortly after Eid where winners will each receive a cash prize of OMR 100.
In the past several months, Bank Sohar’s official Social Media channel have not only witnessed tremendous growth, but has also seen a high level of engagement from page fans, questions and comments. In addition, fans of the official Bank Sohar Facebook Page have exclusive access to a wide range of engaging content, from special offers to the latest brand activities, promotions, product news.
Since its foray into Social Media, Bank Sohar has also conducted several competitions for its fans and customers. In fact, this latest competition is the fourth ever to be conducted by the Bank. The first was conducted in March on Facebook, requesting fans to share their personal and most effective tips on saving.
The second was an Instagram contest centered on the Bank’s 7th Anniversary. Launched in April, the competition received over 1000 entries with the top three selected by public vote on the photography-centered social media website.
The last of the three was the ‘Trivia Competition’ based on the recent football matches and conducted on the Bank’s Twitter page where 10 lucky winners got the chance to won a Receiver & free Subscription to watch the football matches
