BenQ highlights its classroom IQ at GESS 2014

BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and global DLP projector leader, is capitalising the Middle East’s rising demand for technology that facilitates education through its latest education-tailored products.

Participating at Gulf Education Supplies and Solutions (GESS) happening from 4th to 6th March, at Dubai World Trade Centre, BenQ is showcasing its Classroom IQ with a wide array of connectivity options and solutions. The BenQ Classroom IQ will include Interactive Flat Panels, a complete classroom interactive projector solution, and cloud monitors will be highlighted at the event.

The BenQ Classroom IQ features the advanced 5-point touch control RP650 Interactive Flat Panel with its advanced Anti-Glare glass eliminating visual interference from glare to prevent students’ eye fatigue and stress. It also includes interactive short-throw projectors with PointWrite™ device, an 80FPS sensor attached to the lens of the projector to detect IR beams emitted from the PointWrite pen.

The RP650 Interactive Flat Panel’s 5-point Optical Touch that allows panning, zooming and scrolling images with fingers as well as writing on the screen at the same time. This technology eliminates the need for a mouse or keyboard increasing the engagement and class interaction among students.

The flat panel is also equipped with a 10-bit panel, Anti-Image Retention, Internal Temperature Monitoring, Ambient Light Sensor, and 50,000 hours light life for long use. It also utilises BenQ RJ45 Ethernet technology that provides monitoring, controlling and updating display system at a remote location.

In addition, the BenQ Classroom IQ concept allows up to four students to collaborate simultaneously with PointWrite pens. The complete classroom interactive projector MW824ST has a short-throw ratio, 13000:1 ultra-sharp contrast ratio, 3200 ANSI Lumens brightness and long lamp life along with the MHL function that allows the content to be shown from any Android devices to the big screen.
