FMO is a boutique agency aimed at high end iconic projects, with a clear focus on deliverables and quality. Based in Dubai, it will operate across the Middle East region and globally. Headed by Martin Gregory, who has over 20 years experience in the industry, the FMO team comprises some of the leading players in the field who, between them, have worked on a number of the most iconic projects in the Middle East, including: Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Palm Jumeirah Transit System, ADNOC, Dubai Metro, Saadiyat Island, Sowwah Island, Masdar HQ, Bahrain Bay, and Rift Living (Jordan).
FMO will be providing A to Z consultancy services including; design reviews; operational strategies; FM procurement; and financial modelling. Because every project is unique, FMO will be offering a fully bespoke service, as it believes that one solution does not fit all. FMO’s cost modelling, for example, is one of the best in the world and is more detailed than any other available locally or internationally, and is intended be used as an open access, client based model, through the whole life of a project. Each model has unique scenarios and strategic “what if” adjustments that enable Clients to have full transparency of the short and long term impact of design and operation decisions to minimise their financial risk and optimise the future sustainability of the project.
FMO has already been appointed to carry out the design review, strategy, cost modelling and handover/implementation plan for the CMA Tower (Capital Markets Authority) in Riyadh, KSA, in addition to mixed use master developments in Damascus and Beirut. It is also working on other prestigious projects across the region.
Although a sister company to MMG, FMO works independently on projects to ensure that the solutions provided by FMO are always in the interests of the client, not any future operator or service provider.
Speaking about the new company, Martin Gregory, Managing Director of FMO, said, “With an increasing awareness of what facility management consultancy services can do, in terms of Developer and Owner cost mitigation and planning, from the inception of a project right through to the operation, now is the perfect time to launch FMO. We have a strong track record within the team, with unrivalled international and regional experience, and will be offering our services to some of the most exciting projects in the Middle East and beyond.”
Youssef Abillama, CEO, MMG Overseas Limited added, “FMO will be offering a high level bespoke consultancy service throughout the region. Strategically, this will allow FMO to enter iconic projects at preliminary and subsequent stages in their lifecycle, and to provide MMG’s existing customers and projects with exposure to regional best practice.”
