“The success of last year’s campaign made us save no efforts to prepare for the 2012 campaign with a new theme that is in-sync with the goals to support and appreciate women.” said Mr. Eyad Mashat, CEO of FAD International and the founder of Femi9, the sponsor of WAM campaign.
He also said, “The new and unique (WAM) requires cooperation from all society groups and categories represented as an association or individual to make WAM 2012 a success.”
Mr. Mashat also stated that Women Appreciation Month 2012 will include various women oriented activities and events that will help them start and build their professional careers. Seven high profile and successful women from various professions are the spokespersons for WAM 2012.
Dr. Modia Batterjee, the Founder of Al Bidayah Center for Breastfeeding and Women awareness, Ms. Dina Ali Reda from MIX Fm, Chief of editor for Design Magazine Ms.kholoud Attar, Ms.Marriam Najeeb Mossalliof Luxury Consultant & Media Personality, Ms. Rajaa Moumena, the founder and the CEO of Future Institute, Dr. Naila Attar general manager of the advisory management and economic consulting and Ms.Nora Faisal AlShaaban, the president of Ebda’a exchange spoke about WAM initiative and the achievements that were made by women and the role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulazizz in supporting women.
WAM 2012 in association with Glowork will create 400 job opportunities throughout the month of April and also conduct training for 200 women on soft skills, HR, Marketing and Communication, Digital Media, Administrative work and Branding.
Mr. Khaled Alkhudair, the founder of Glowork stated: “Women unemployment is a huge problem in the Kingdom as currently over 80% of those registered in Hafiz (unemployment scheme) are females. Glowork’s collaboration with WAM will aim to decrease these numbers and though the challenge is extensive, we will ensure that the coming generations of sisters and daughters will be equipped with the right resources for the work place and opportunities will be available. Throughout WAM, we have consented to creating 400 job opportunities in new sectors, fields and industries as well as training over 200 women and equipping them with the right tools for the workforce.”
WAM 2012 will also sponsor free cooking classes for housewives in association with Goody Kitchen. In this three-day activity participating housewives will be taught three different full course meals on different menus. This activity is an appreciation incentive for the women who are housewives, as housewives equally contribute to society progression.
The Associate director, marketing services of Goody ,Mrs.Maha Almajdady said, “Goody kitchen is main partner and supporter for the women, in educating and training also to discover and refine her talent in cooking art through Various training courses, because we believe in the importance of the role of housewives toward the family and society, and which will enable them to prepare delicious dishes, and learn the ways of innovative cooking in an atmosphere of real fun.”
To appreciate women doctors and teachers, WAM 2012 will show case two documentaries on the role and contribution of women doctors and teachers in the field of medicine and education.
WAM 2012 will also bring a workshop by Ms. Nora Faisal Al Shaaban, the CEO of Ebdaa Exchange Co. for Social Entrepreneurs, creative leaders, bankers, business women and students
