In 2007 Fawaz Al Hokair entered into a Franchise agreement with Gap Inc. The first market under this agreement was Saudi Arabia with the first stores opening in late 2007, followed by an expansion of the agreement to manage the Gap and Banana Republic brands across six additional markets; Jordan, Egypt, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
This partnership has proven to be successful endeavor with the total number of Gap stores reaching 40 across all seven markets.
The new store at Kingdom Mall in Riyadh will be an incredible representation of the best of the Gap brand. The Gap stores will offer the Gap, GapKids, and babyGap collections. The store is located in a prime section of the new mall.

Both stores will open with the Spring 2013 collection. This spring, Gap reimagines its 1969 denim offerings in a luminous spectrum of colors, including new indigo washes and prints. Featuring updated refined fits, new lengths and a broad range of colors – from hot coral to icy mint – in solids, patterns and prints. Both men and women alike can infuse color into their spring wardrobes.
Gap’s Spring global marketing campaign, Denim Evolved, introduces the new 1969 Skimmer Jean for women and the new 1969 Slim Canvas Jean for men. These new styles are an evolution of brand favorites, like the Always Skinny and Legging Jean, and pair with the silk blend mariner striped and printed knits.
Additional fashionable toppers, perfect for layering, include the essential Academy Blazer for women in ponte, pique and stripes, and the classic Modern Oxford shirt for men in solids and chambray.
