The workshop which commenced on Monday, May 13, will be attended by FIFA, LOC and official partners involved in putting together the largest football event in the history of the UAE.
The workshops will include venue inspections, IT checks, overview of tournament operations, media and marketing briefings and meetings that will benefit all attendees who are part of organising and delivering the FIFA U-17 World Cup UAE 2013.
HE Mohammed Abdulla bin Bdoua, Tournament Director, commented: “This is a part of a series of workshops which we will be hosting alongside FIFA during the build-up to the tournament. These workshops play a significant role in bringing all the LOC members and FIFA partners together and providing an understanding of how the FIFA U-17 World Cup should run in line with FIFA’s international standards.”
The 15th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup takes place across six cities – Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
Tickets go on sale in June for a total of 52 matches that will be played in the UAE’s top stadiums – Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Stadium in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah Stadium in Fujairah, Sharjah Stadium in Sharjah, Rashid Stadium in Dubai and Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain.
